climbing - winter ice and alpine
routes
From late autumn through
to spring there are cascades, mixed routes and alpine routes of all
grades, accessibility and length. The guidebook for the local
French-speaking part of Switzerland lists 340 icefalls, and there are
many more established climbs in nearby areas such as Kandersteg, Arolla,
and Saas.
